NSS

The National Service Scheme was started by Government of India, Ministry of Education and Culture Govt. of India, in Collaboration with State Government. At present the scheme is run by the ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in Central Government and Department of Higher & Technical Education in State Government. In Govt. college dipka NSS unit come into existence in 2014-15 At present Smt Mamta Thakur is incharge officer of NSS Unit.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Tree Plantation Drive:

N.S.S. Student Often Participate in tree plantation drives as Part of their Community Service Innovative These Drives aims to promote Environmental awareness, enhance, greenery and inculcate Souse of social responsibility among students. They run plantation drive at college campus as well as adopted village Jhabar under scheme " Ek ped maa k Naam "

One Day N.S.S.Camp:

One day N.S.S. Camp is typically involves community service activities and helps in personality development of student through Social engagement . These camp often include, Cleanliness drive Voter awareness camping and interactive session with local community voluntaries learn education and discipline .They Learn time management skill and build leadership.

Enrolment drive and Orientation program:

Every year college conduct enrolment drive against the 100 N.S.S. students in the month of July & August and for this senior N.S.S. student play important roll to motivate freshers.

Blood group test camps:

The unit organized blood group test association with Red Cross in the every year

Voting Awareness programme:

Dipka College organized Voting Awareness programme to aware the students of college and to impart the knowledge about importance of voting. NSS students participated in spread voting awareness Rally in market place and other place.

AIDS awareness program:

AIDS awareness program in the campus, adopted village and slum area were organized by the unit throughout the academic year. NSS volunteers participated in Aids Awareness rally from College to Jhabar Village on every 1st December .The volunteers organized an exhibition of AIDS awareness with the materials supplied by Mumbai AIDS Control Society and the materials prepared by the volunteers during our Aids awareness campaign. This event was conducted to create awareness about HIV/AIDS its causes as well as to make people know as to how it can be prevented. This rally was also intended in demolishing the various myths that go around in the society about the spreading of this disease. The volunteers carried posters and yelled out slogans

Swacch Bharat Abhiyan

NSS Day Celebration:

24 September is celebrated every year as NSS Day .All NSS students of college celebrated NSS day by performing skits to create awareness on the topics like status of women in India, , etc , the students also sang songs of NSS. The videos on different social issues were screened on this day.

Celebration of Constitution Day:

Unit organized the celebration on the Constitution Day on 26th November 2015, where principal of college addressed the students, and educated them with the history and importance of constitution in India.

Seven Days Residential Camp:

Every year NSS Unit of College organise Seven Days Residential Camp.". NSS Volunteers conducted various activities such as skit and debate on the topics "Swacch Bharat Abhiyan", Save Girl Child, AIDS Awareness etc. Talks were organised for the Volunteers on different topics such as Consumer Awareness, Anti-superstition and moral values, Social networking- Boon or Bane and NSS objectives. The purpose of the camp was to inculcate various values such as social, cultural, moral, educational and ethical.

Activities

The College also organized a Training/practice for players to prepare them for the sector and state level competition. Besides organizing these competitions the college celebrates its Annual Sports Day in each session on a large scale. The event witnesses various games like Races,table tennis, chess , kabaddi, volleyball, basket ball, cricket,, Badminton, football, basket ball, Net ball, Kho kho, handball, disc throw Students enthusiastically participate in these games and make the day a grand success.

YOUTH RED CROSS SOCIETY (YRC)

In govt college Dipka Youth redcross society Volunteers have been providing their valuable services as and when required. They pledge to serve in the promotion of health, and in building a culture of peace without any form of discrimination and to hold in friendship the boys and girls of all institutions. They also promote community feeling among themselves and in the vicinity through a range of extension and outreach programmes.

VISION : To make healthy lives and healthy mind.
